A Healthy Body Needs a Healthy Mind

It is a well-known statistic that the insurance companies work out their life insurance premiums on the premise that men WHO retire at 65 dies, on average, at age 67. it's a shock to the system to suddenly have nothing to do after you are in a stressful environment during all of your working life.

When you are in a business situation, your body produces adrenalin to help you get through it. This adrenalin is a good thing – it keeps you going. you need a goal, a need to produce something.

There is a difference between purpose and stress. Stress is to some extent controllable. If you are in your car and someone in another car chops you, you can either honk your horn, shout obscenities, shake your fist, generally be angry or you will expect the other driver to chop you and let him or her get on with it. this is better FOR YOU?

Here, in England, you see retired old men leaning on their front gates for hours on finish watching the world go by. These people are old before their time. they have no purpose, therefore they have no enjoyment. they need no adrenalin rush and therefore they are destined for AN early grave.

Here is a strange phenomenon. Up to the end of the year 1998, terminally ill people tended to die at the same annual rate, but in the year 1999, the death rate fell dramatically until when the New Year of the New Millenium, when it went up for a short while and so returned to normal. people were actually putting off DYING because they wanted, very wanted, to see the dawn of the new millennium.

Now that will seem amazing, but it isn’t really. after you need to do something, you tend to carry on as long as it takes. Mind over matter!

We all need some purpose in our lives. Learning new skills, taking responsibility for things, organizing things in order to not let your contemporaries down. we need to be prepared to help one another. helping other people makes the US feel good.

Be cheerful. mix with your friends. Be positive. If you are reading this, you are using your computer and you are inquiring. That’s great! I think computing is a fantastic pastime (and may also be a lucrative business). the learning of skills with a purpose is a wonderful thing.

Keep up with putting off old age. old age has nothing to do with your birth date. it's everything to do with your attitude. may we all keep happy and forward-looking. I know a guy WHO is 92 years old and is planning on buying a brand new car. That’s the attitude!
